This park of about 5,500 acres with 2,300 acres of lake is rich in natural and cultural history. The park offers an interpretive center along with a wide variety of land and water activities and recreation. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended except for short periods, and then only if they will be quiet and well behaved. Dogs must be on no more than a 6 foot leash, and be cleaned up after. Dogs are allowed on the trails. This campground is closed during the off-season. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. Dogs are allowed in the camping cabins.
